The concept of the design is to create friendly surroundings for koalas and make people and koalas closer in the united environment. The main goal was to integrate the building into the local landscape. A koala claw inspired the idea of the shape of the building. During the research it was revealed that claws play an important role in koalas’ life, they use them to hold on a tree trunk and stay there for a long time. Clinging to a tree resembles clinging to life. This idea insipred me to create that shape of the building. On the facade of the builndg you can see vertical trunks that symbolize eucalyptus trees.
